How to read this

Fair value is where our model puts Bitcoin's long-term value on that date. It grows over time and rises and falls with the four-year halving cycle. What fair value means.

Bottom is a floor below the price: since June 2011 the daily price has never been below it.

Top is where the price was rarely higher: on 97.5% of all days it was below this line.

The growth slows over time. Bitcoin follows a power law: its value grows with a power of its age, so each doubling takes longer than the last.

Questions

What is the Bitcoin price prediction for 2030?

Our model puts Bitcoin's fair value at $335,000 at the end of 2030. The bottom line is at $223,000 and the top line peaks at $879,000 during the year. Details for 2030.

How are these predictions made?

Each value comes from the same fixed model that draws the fair-value line on the chart: Bitcoin's long-term power-law growth combined with its four-year halving cycle, fitted once to all daily prices since 2011. The model does not change after the fact, so a forecast made today can be checked later.

How reliable is a Bitcoin price forecast?

Not very, for a single day: the price has spent long stretches 50% above or below fair value. The range from bottom to top is the more useful part. Since June 2011 the daily price has never been below the bottom line, and on 97.5% of all days it was below the top line. Past behaviour is no guarantee for the future.

When is the next Bitcoin halving?

The next halving is expected in early 2028. Halvings happen every 210,000 blocks, roughly every four years, and cut the new supply of bitcoin in half.

Model estimates, not a promise: past behaviour is no guarantee for the future. Not financial advice.
